Our members' participation in the BioHackathon BH23.9 is now available on BioHackrXiv as a preprint
A preprint of our work on pathway analysis of non-model organisms, in which our members participated in the domestic biohackathon BH23.9 hosted by DBCLS in Shirahama,
has been published on BioHackrXiv .
At the hackathon, Oishi and Hirota developed txt2gpml, a tool to generate XML (GPML) that can be loaded into WikiPathways from pathway
information described in text files, and published it on GitHub.

Tetsuya Hirota, CTO, will give a talk on "Fast Parsing of Huge XML with Ruby" at RubyWorld Conference 2023
Tetsuya Hirota, CTO, has been accepted to give a presentation titled "Fast Parsing of Huge XML with Ruby" at RubyWorld Conference 2023.
In this talk, he will present the results of his work on parsing huge XML with Ruby,
which was used to parse BioProject's XML and create a database with related information added, and how the speed was improved.

“The metagenomics data analysis - 16S, shotgun, and long leads! - The great recipes
for bacterial flora analysis” was published from Yodosha.
Oishi, our representative director, wrote a column and an amplicon analysis of long reads
in the separate volume of Experimental Medicine, “The metagenomics data analysis - 16S,
shotgun, and long leads! - The great recipes
for bacterial flora analysis” will be published by Yodosha. You can pre-order it from
Yodosha website, Amazon,
bookstores, etc.

The metagenomics analysis workflow that President Oishi has developed is released
as a preprint.
The workflow for metagenomic data analysis that I have been working on with Dr. Hidemasa
Bonoh of the Graduate School of Integrative Biosciences, Hiroshima University, in the
domestic version of Biohackathon BH21.8 and other events, has been published as a preprint
on BioHackrXive(https://doi.org/10.37044/osf.io/gbt8p)
This
study mentions a fast
workflow for metagenomic amplicon analysis of long reads represented by sequences
analyzed
by the ONT sequencer.
